Barb has celebrated movement and dance her entire life.
Early expressions in ballet, tap, and dance teams provided a foundation for timing and rhythm.
Later studies in the subtle energies of Tai Chi and Healing Touch brought forth a new connection
with balance and the Natural World. Barb loves the joy created through the power, beauty,
and community of tribal music and dance. |
Terrie has been dancing since 2004. Her training has come primarily from The Center for World Rhythms although her life experiences have been leading her in this direction for quite some time. The dance has grounded her, connected her to others but mostly, revealed her true potential in many facets of her life. She dances with Gaianada but has also started a bellydance community in Kentucky at the Rabbit Hash Navel Academy. She looks forward to growing as a dancer with Gaiananda and continuing to facilitate her creative abilities through dance and physical activity. Terrie is the booking contact for Gaiananda. |

Teri
Dance was new to Teri when she began studying tribal belly dance at the Center for World Rhythms and Movement in 2004. While the physical challenge to train the body to be graceful, expressive and powerful initially drew her into this dance, the dynamic tribal spirit and soul of tribal belly dance continues to inspire her. Teri enjoys bringing this dance to others by teaching both in the Rabbit Hash, Kentucky belly dance community and at the Center for World Rhythms and Movement. She has been a member of Gaiananda since 2007. |

Mark Stucker holds down the woodwind section of Gaiananda Cultural Music & Dance Ensemble. He began clarinet at age nine, which sparked a passion for creating music with many instruments including flute, sax, guitar, keyboards, hand drums, Deger pipes, and most recently the mizmar. Mark formerly worked with the art performance troupe Mameda and the Irish fusion band Anam Cara. What he truly loves about Gaiananda is the intensity of the moment created when improvising solos to drive and flow with the dancers. Mark is a professional cinematographer & lighting director in video and film. He lends those talents to Gaiananda as well, having produced the music video DVD production "Rompi, Rompi". |
